Menu - Week of February 28, 2010

I still have a fridge full of lettuce and stuff to make mini bagel pizzas!!!! How did this happen you ask? Let's see my brother made dinner for us Tuesday night. We had Chick-Fil-A school spirit night on Thursday. We were invited to a playdate that turned to dinner on Friday and ended up going out for my friend's birthday instead of having a potluck at her house.

This means that we still have tons of food in the house. Therefore, my grocery bill will be less than $100 for sure!!! So after 1) looking in the fridge, the freezer,and the pantry, 2) thinking about breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, and 3) looking at our activities for the week, here is my plan:

  • Sunday - Garden Salad, plus Grilled Cheese for the Kids (to use up the lettuce and bread we have left over), Grapes
  • Monday (baseball practice) - Asian Chicken Salad (to use the lettuce), Red and Green Bell Pepper strips with dip, Pineapple Chunks
  • Tuesday - Bean Soup, Rice, Carrots with dip, Strawberries
  • Wednesday - Broiled Scallops, Steamed Edamame, Rice Pilaf, Orange Wedges
  • Thursday (soccer practice and baseball practice) - School Spirit Night at Chick-Fil-A
  • Friday - Spinach Lasagne, Steamed Broccoli, Apple Slices
  • Saturday - (Soccer Game and Explore UT-all day) - We are eating leftover lasagne for dinner.
